Our changing world

Just as the tower of Babel has crumbled into rubble, so the structure of our whole world that has turned its face from the Father can crumble

We all need to be prepared. The news carries article after article on how the global stability we have known for many years, is crumbling. We hear of earthquakes, unprecedented disasters, unprecedented hardship caused by excessive house price and rent increases, global economies collapsing with global supply chain failures caused by Covid, potential economic collapse caused by hyper-inflation and preparation for war by many countries, and wars such as in the Ukraine.

We have energy shortages, food shortages and a world that by 2050 will no longer be able to provide sufficient food for its rapidly expanding population. We have earthquakes and storms like we have never had before.
Global warming caused by mankinds greed has changed our seasons, our economic management of this world (the Babylonian system) is causing the worlds physical collapse. Peoples hearts are failing before them as they see their life time investments crumbling and their debt soaring.

It is natural to feel a sense of fear and uncertainty in the face of such challenges, but it is also important to remember that as believers, we have a source of strength and hope that can sustain us through even the darkest times. By drawing on our faith and cultivating a deep relationship with the Father and the Messiah, we can find the inner resources we need to face whatever challenges come our way.

The Messiah spoke of this in Matthew 24

Matthew 24:6 “And you shall begin to hear of fightings and reports of fightings. See that you are not troubled, for these have to take place, but the end is not yet. 7 “For nation shall rise against nation, and reign against reign. And there shall be scarcities of food, and deadly diseases, and earthquakes in places. 8 “And all these are the beginning of birth pains. 9 “Then they shall deliver you up to affliction and kill you, and you shall be hated by all nations for My Name’s sake. 10 “And then many shall stumble, and they shall deliver up one another, and shall hate one another. 11 “And many false prophets shall rise up and lead many astray. 12 “And because of the increase in lawlessness, the love of many shall become cold.

The Messiah goes on to tell us that there will be affliction and oppression against believers, and many false prophets that will lead people astray

Matthew 24:9 “Then they shall deliver you up to affliction and kill you, and you shall be hated by all nations for My Name’s sake. 10 “And then many shall stumble, and they shall deliver up one another, and shall hate one another. 11 “And many false prophets shall rise up and lead many astray. 12 “And because of the increase in lawlessness, the love of many shall become cold. 13 “But he who shall have endured to the end shall be saved.

We have a world that has turned its back on the Fathers Word. A world where many believe that they have engineered out the need for the Father or his Word, replacing the Father with economic theories, commerce and artificial intelligence. Our world has built its own tower of babel.

This time that we are living in is unprecedented, with many things coinciding that individually are not too significant, but happening together, are causing the economic and physical collapse of the world as we know it. Men’s hearts are failing before them as hardship that the world has not seen for centuries starts to appear.

Luke 21:25 “And there shall be signs in the sun, and moon, and stars, and on the earth anxiety of nations, in bewilderment at the roaring of the sea, and agitation, 26 men fainting from fear and the expectation of what is coming on the earth, for the powers of the heavens shall be shaken. 27 “And then they shall see the Son of Aḏam coming in a cloud with power and much esteem. 28 “And when these matters begin to take place, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near.”

We are witnessing disruption as has never been seen before as our own tower of babel collapses.
What is next, fuel shortages causing famine? Hyper inflation destroying countries ability to support its population and reallocation of financial resource? A term is being mentioned widely in media that this is the “great reset”, but it is not a reset, it is a collapse of our economic system.

But we are to be children of light and not darkness. In Ephesians Paul told us to walk as children of the light

Ephesians 5:8 For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Master. Walk as children of light

When, as children of light, we focus on the Messiah, we relax, anxiety and fear are not part of our life as we know that everything is in the hands of the Father through our belief in the Messiah. This is time for believers to focus on preparing themselves spiritually for the time beyond the troubles of this age. We have the opportunity and challenge to prepare now for the coming age of the Messiahs reign on earth. The wise will understand and seize the moment, we are warned in the parable of the 10 maidens set out in Matthew 25:1-12. Five were wise, and five were foolish.

The 5 wise maidens ensured they had sufficient oil for their lamps while they waited for the bridegroom, the 5 foolish maidens did not consider the oil for their lamps. Oil is a widely understood symbol of the Set Apart Spirit in the Scriptures. So 5 wise maidens ensured they had the Set Apart Spirit with them, 5 foolish maidens failed to seek out the Set Apart Spirit. Their love had grown cold, or they had no love to start with.

We need to seek the Father earnestly and honestly in our lives with prayer and always reading and actioning His Word. The words of Deuteronomy, Jeremiah and Joel are equally relevant now.

Deuteronomy 4:29 “But from there you shall seek Yahuah your Elohim, and shall find, when you search for Him with all your heart and with all your being.

Jeremiah 29:13 And you shall seek Me, and shall find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.

Joel 2:12 “Yet even now,” declares Yahuah, “turn to Me with all your heart, and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning.”

There is no time like now to prepare, and to remain prepared, the end of your life is not the time to seek the Father. Are you prepared? Do you have a personal relationship with the Father? Do you fear the disruption that is around you? Do you fear oppression? It is important for individuals to take time to reflect on their own lives and beliefs, and to develop a deep and personal relationship with the Father. By cultivating a deep and personal relationship with the Father, we can find the strength and courage we need to face whatever comes our way.
