The Spiritual Realm

We cannot normally see the air that we breath, but we can feel that it is there. Similarly we cannot see the spiritual realm, but we can feel its presence

We live in a highly advanced, technical world and expect a technical explanation for everything around us. But there are a great many mysteries all around us that defy technical explanations, ancient places, mysterious beings, sunken worlds and cultures, landscapes imbued with symbolism, unexplained apparitions, and unbelievable finds from ancient times - all of these remain unexplained despite intense investigations.

Many individuals question whether beliefs in supernatural or demonic entities are merely superstitions—i.e., they question their existence. However, disbelief in something does not negate its actual existence. Lack of awareness regarding spiritual entities does not invalidate their presence. Our education and culture shape our perspectives not only on the physical world but also on the existence of a spiritual realm. The mention of s-a-t-a-n occurs 54 times in the Old Testament, all writers in the New Testament make references to him, and the Messiah himself mentions s-a-t-a-n 25 times (refer to Matthew 4:22, 24; 7:22; 8:16, 31; 9:33-34; 10:8; 12:24; 15:22; 17:18). S-a-t-a-n does indeed exist, alongside other spiritual entities.

My personal experiences have proven the reality of spiritual bloodlines, spiritual inheritance, and the spiritual world that surrounds us. These experiences have revealed to me the existence of great evil, and in acknowledging the existence of great evil, we must also acknowledge the existence of great good.

Scripture is explicit about the fact that our eternal destiny is influenced by our faith in the Father and the Messiah, as well as our attitudes and behaviours while we live on this earth. A person's destiny is shaped by the choices they make in life (John 3:16, 36; Galatians 5:19-21; Hebrews 9:27).

S-a-t-a-n and demons present formidable adversaries and pose a real threat to our spiritual safety; however, the Messiah surpasses them in all aspects. Through the Messiah's death and resurrection, he achieved victory over evil and death. The Messiah resides within us, and nothing can overpower or sever our connection with him unless we allow it to. There are steps you can take to protect yourself, your bloodline (your children, and future generations), from s-a-t-a-n-i-c or demonic influences.

You, and only you, possess the ability to choose and modify your eternal destiny by accepting the Father and Messiah in your lives, and earnest, truthful and meaningful prayer. You have the power to liberate yourself and your descendants from the spiritual challenges you have inherited and may pass on to future generations.

It is important to avoid confusion. While the Scriptures acknowledge the reality of demon influence and possession, they also reveal that the Messiah not only cast out demons from the possessed individuals but also healed those who were afflicted with various diseases, pains, and other forms of suffering including epileptics, and paralytics (Matthew 4:24). The Messiah provided assistance to those facing spiritual or physical afflictions.
It is crucial to understand that there were two distinct categories of people in need of healing. On the one hand, there were individuals who were demon-possessed and experienced seizures similar to epilepsy (e.g., Mark 9:18). However, not all epileptics are demon-possessed, and not all demon-possessed individuals suffer from epilepsy. The Scriptures recognise that some individuals diagnosed with epilepsy had a medical condition (Matthew 4:24), while others had a spiritual ailment (demon possession, Matthew 17:14-18).

Throughout our lives, we will inevitably come across situations where we sense a threat or encounter an unsettling atmosphere, even when there's no apparent cause for it. If your heart is aligned with the Father, you will discern the presence of malevolent forces in an individual or a place.

As a general rule, when you detect signs of oppression in an individual or a place, it's best to refrain from getting into conflicts. These are the moments to pray to the Father in the Name of the Messiah, ensuring that you know and use the true Name. Using another name will not be effective, trust me in this, been there done that. Praying in a different name may cause an evil entity to move away because it recognises that you are on the wrong path and desires to keep you there, but it may also not move as it intends to cause you harm through inducing fear.
Praying in the true Name inflicts torment and oppression upon the entity, making it unwilling to remain in your presence. Interestingly, I believe that this is one reason why some individuals vehemently oppose the Word or the true Name, as the evil entity within or around them reacts negatively to the true Name.

Throughout my life, I have experienced the unsettling and frightening presence of absolute spiritual malevolence and animosity. I have encountered a series of inexplicable incidents that defy rational explanation, and I would like to share them with you in the following account.

But first, some education.

Opening your awareness to influence

Firstly, a serious warning - once you unlock the door to the spiritual realm within your consciousness, it remains unlocked indefinitely. This is like eating of the tree of knowledge, taking that information into your consciousness initiates a change in the way you think that cannot be undone. If you choose to open this doorway within your consciousness, you must manage that awareness and what can come through that door going forward.

You don’t just wake up one day with the door to the spiritual realm opened. Activities and beliefs like astrology, demon or pagan worship, s-a-t-a-n-i-c rituals (yes, including the ouija board), the occult, witchcraft, horoscopes, astrology, fortune telling, seances, hypnosis, false deity worship, mysticism etc to name a few, can all open your consciousness to the evil side of the spiritual realm. This includes false worship through church denominations which include pagan symbols, practices and festivals that are thinly disguised as being of the Father, e.g. e-a-s-t-e-r- and x-m-a-s and f-a-t-he-r-c-h-r-i-s-t-m-a-s. This is why the Scriptures specifically warn against becoming involved with these activities because of the risk it poses.

In order to understand the degree to which mankind is susceptible to evil influence from the spiritual realm, it is important to keep in mind that humans were not created with godly attitudes and character, but were created with the freedom to choose what to think and how to order their life.

There are two ways that evil entities seek to control you, demonic influence or possession

Demonic influence

Demonic influence is the power and ability of evil entities to affect someone's emotions, thoughts, beliefs, or actions. It is through this power and ability to influence individuals that evil entities either openly or covertly persuade and manipulate individuals into following a lifestyle or a course of action which is opposite to the Father's laws, precepts, and principles:

  • Demonic influence is distinctly different from demonic possession. The success of an evil entity to influence a person's life is dependent on the person's willingness to maintain certain attitudes, make certain decisions, and behave in certain ways

  • Demonic influence can be overt or extremely subtle and it comes in many forms, depending on the intent and purpose of the entity doing the influencing. Don’t confuse the spiritual realm with conspiracy theories. A conspiracy theory is usually started under demonic influences as it is intended to disrupt society. It is defined as an explanation or belief that suggests a group of people or organisations are secretly working together to cause a specific event or situation. These theories lack evidence and rely on lack of knowledge, speculation, suspicion, or mistrust of official explanations. They may propose hidden agendas, cover-ups, or secretive actions by those in power, often spreading through alternative media, the internet, or social networks. Conspiracy theories that are absorbed into a person’s consciousness also impacts the way that person evaluates new information and may divert them from the truth. As such, it is influence, but it is one step removed from demonic influence

  • Demonic influence should not be confused with conspiracy theories. Conspiracy theories are often instigated by individuals subject to demonic influence. Conspiracy theories propagate ideas suggesting secretive collaborations causing specific events that seek to cause disruption. They are proposed by people with extremely limited knowledge and/or ulterior motives. The theories lack evidence, thrive on speculation and mistrust, and are disseminated through alternative media. Conspiracy theories that are absorbed into a person’s consciousness influence the way that person evaluates new information and may divert them from the truth. As such, while it is a definite negative influence, it is one step removed from demonic influence.

Possession

Posession is where one or more demons takes control of a person’s body, thoughts, and behaviour. This can only happen where a person has opened themselves to the spiritual realm

  • While an individual with a sound mind who is not totally controlled by an evil entity has the freedom to resist an evil influence, a person who is totally possessed by an evil spirit does not have this freedom as the demon is in total control.

  • Demon possession exhibits the following traits

  1. Drastic behavioural changes: Sudden and extreme shifts in behaviour or personality, such as extreme aggression, extreme violence, viscous, extreme hatred, moral depravity etc1.

  2. Superhuman strength: Exhibiting strength beyond normal human capabilities

  3. Superhuman intelligence: Unusual increase in intelligence, knowledge or information not known to the individual in their normal state, including capability to speak and understand other unlearned languages. It may also include supernatural sensitivity such as clairvoyance and precognition

  4. Physical afflictions: Experiencing unexplained physical ailments or contortions, like convulsions or unnatural body positions

  5. Loss of consciousness or memory: Periods where the individual seems unconscious or experiences memory gaps

  6. Abnormal behaviour: Engaging in abnormal actions, such as self-harm or speaking in a peculiar manner or another voice

Fortunately, demon possession is relatively rare, but undoubtedly the instigators of the worst atrocities known to mankind were demon possessed. Possession should not be confused with depression, personality disorders, mental illness, or drug overuse which is the more prevalent cause of antisocial behaviour.

Among the thirty-three miracles recorded in the Scriptures as performed by the Messiah, only four specifically involve the casting out of demons. This differentiation carries significant pastoral implications since the treatment for demon possession differs greatly from the treatment for mental or physical issues. People with disorders and chemical imbalances need real help, not exorcisms. People with psychological problems should receive psychological treatment and evaluation.

Failing to discern the cause correctly can lead to disastrous consequences.

There are many types of evil entities in this world.

Whether you accept it or not, the realm of the spiritual world undeniably exists, irrespective of one's ability to perceive or encounter it. The presence of evil stands as the most compelling proof of the spiritual realm, and the existence of great good, the Father. What I now understand is that there are different types of evil spirits. The Messiah noted this in Matthew 17:16 to 21, pay particular attention to the last sentence.

Matthew 16:16 “And I brought him to Your taught ones, but they were unable to heal him.”  17 And Yahusha answering, said, “O generation, unbelieving and perverted, how long shall I be with you? How long shall I put up with you? Bring him here to Me.”  18 And Yahusha rebuked the demon, and he came out of him. And the child was healed from that hour. 19 Then the taught ones came to Yahusha by Himself and said, “Why were we unable to cast him out?”  20 And Yahusha said to them, “Because of your unbelief, for truly, I say to you, if you have belief as a mustard seed, you shall say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it shall move. And no matter shall be impossible for you.  21 “But this kind does not go out except through prayer and fasting.”

If you consider yourself as a person of faith but participate in these spiritual  practices, you leave yourself open to potential demonic influence. This underscores the importance of experiencing a spiritual renewal and being filled with the Holy Spirit in your mind, body, and soul, a concept referred to as being "born again" in the Scriptures. Through being born again, you can reduce your susceptibility to s-a-t-a-n-i-c attacks. As emphasized in James 4:7, we are encouraged to resist the devil, and he will ultimately retreat from us.

James 4:7 So then subject yourselves to Elohim. Resist the devil and he shall flee from you.

The term s-a-t-a-n is quite straightforward, but in various writings, "fallen angel" and "demon" are sometimes used interchangeably, despite their distinct meanings. These terms refer to two different entities. Angels typically serve as messengers, protectors, and agents of the Father's will, while s-a-t-a-n and demons exist with the intent to obstruct salvation. Ephesians 6:12 serves as a reminder of the spiritual conflict we encounter, emphasizing the existence of these opposing forces.

Ephesians 6:12 Because we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against authorities, against the world-rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual matters of wickedness in the heavenlies.

Understanding these entities and their power will enable you to exercise spiritual discernment and recognise the mechanisms that these entities may use, and enable you to make wise choices.

S-a-t-a-n

S-a-t-a-n, also known as Lucifer, was once a magnificent and influential cherub, potentially holding the highest rank among all angels. However, within him, wrongdoing was discovered (Ezekiel 28:15), and he became consumed by pride, aspiring to surpass the authority of the Father (Isaiah 14:12–15). He led a rebellion, rallying a multitude of angels, resulting in their expulsion from heaven (Ezekiel 28:17–18). Presently, s-a-t-a-n roams the earth, actively striving to impede people from embracing salvation and living obedient lives before the Father (1 Peter 5:8).

S-a-t-a-n, also known as Lucifer, was once a magnificent and highly influential cherub, possibly holding the highest rank among all angels. However, his wrongdoing was uncovered within him, as mentioned in Ezekiel 28:15, and he succumbed to pride, desiring to surpass the authority of the Father, as described in Isaiah 14:12–15. This led to a rebellion in which he rallied a host of angels, resulting in their expulsion from heaven, as detailed in Ezekiel 28:17–18. Presently, s-a-t-a-n roams the earth, actively working to obstruct individuals from embracing salvation and living in obedience to the Father, as stated in 1 Peter 5:8.

1 Peter 5:8 Be sober, watch, because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.

S-a-t-a-n also takes on the role of an accuser, with the aim of discrediting believers in the eyes of the Father. His ultimate objective is the annihilation of individuals, employing various strategies such as demonic possession, spiritual attacks, temptation, and the seduction of sin.

He is closely associated with sin, lawlessness, pride, rebellion, and the embodiment of pure evil. His primary goal is to annihilate all aspects of the Father's creation, including humanity and the world itself. He achieves this by exploiting the rebellion of humans, who willingly engage in destructive behaviour, often disregarding the suffering and torment it causes. Currently, s-a-t-a-n is unrestrained and moves freely throughout the Earth, exerting his influence.

We are well done the path of destruction of the world, the Fathers creation with pollution, disease, economics, and global warming. These issues are primarily driven by people's insatiable desires for wealth and power.
Fallen Angels

The idea of a primeval fall of Angels actually comes from church tradition and the English poet John Milton in his epic Paradise Lost, it is not from the Scriptures. It is another example of teaching error and many dominations have adopted this error into their doctrine.

Many people assume that demons are fallen angels, cast from heaven with s-a-t-a-n right before the temptation of Adam and Eve. But Revelation 12 tells us that that s-a-t-a-n was waiting to devour the Messiah at his birth, and he had the backing of a third of the angels. But the Father resurrected the Messiah and took him to His throne. The woman (believers) was protected by the Father for 1,260 days (years) after the resurrection.

Revelation 12:11 recounts the triumph over s-a-t-a-n and his angels through the sacrificial blood of the lamb (Messiah). We can conclude from this that s-a-t-a-n was defeated only after the Messiah's resurrection, as that was when the blood of the lamb occurred. This victory is intricately linked to the renewed covenant that was also established with the Messiah's blood, wherein s-a-t-a-n, the accuser, was cast out of heaven. The renewed covenant was a fundamental shift from salvation happening by faith and obedience to the Law (blood sacrifice), to faith and obedience to the Messiah (the Messiah permanently fulfilled blood sacrifice requirements).

Revelation 12:11 “And they overcame him because of the Blood of the Lamb, and because of the Word of their witness, and they did not love their lives to the death…..17 And the dragon was enraged with the woman, and he went to fight with the remnant of her seed, those guarding the commands of Yahuah and possessing the witness of Yahusha Messiah.

Revelation 12 is not a reference to a battle that took place in heaven after creation and before mankind’s fall into sin. It is not a reference to that battle in which s-a-t-a-n and his Angels rebelled. Rather, this is clearly a reference to that battle that took place in heaven at the time of the Messiahs ascension, when He cast out the rebellious angels (which were a third of all the angels) out of heaven forever.

The Messiah won the victory through His death and resurrection. He ascended to the Father as our High Priest, won the battle against s-a-t-a-n and his angels and was our wave sheaf offering as the first fruits of the new harvest (of souls). Every accusation against us has been answered once and for all by his blood if we are born again.

The Scripture events set out in Genesis 6 does not record what happened to the Angels that interbred with mankind making hybrid angel/human offspring. Presumably, those fallen Angels were the ones that the Messiah preached to during his time in the tomb as recorded in 1 Peter 3:19

1 Peter 3:19 in which also He went and proclaimed unto the spirits in prison, 20 who were disobedient at one time when the patience of Elohim waited in the days of Noaḥ, while the ark was being prepared, in which a few, that is, eight beings, were saved through water,

We do know that the offspring (called Nephilim) had super human powers and intelligence, and were very evil. The Father regretted creating mankind and wiped out the Nephilim and all others, except for a remnant of 8 people with the great flood to remove the evil.

There are Angels that are in chains in the Abyss/Tartarus (2 Peter 2:4 and Jude 1:6), and these are angels that sinned. It could include the angels who rebelled against the Father and were cast out from heaven

2 Peter 2:4 For if Elohim did not spare the messengers who sinned, but sent them to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be kept for judgment,

Jude 1:6 And the messengers who did not keep their own principality, but left their own dwelling, He has kept in everlasting shackles under darkness for the judgment of the great day.

Those fallen Angels will remain in chains until the fifth trumpet sounds (Revelation 9:3-10) when they are temporarily released and appear as scorpions to harm only those people who do not have the seal of the Father on their foreheads. They are led by s-a-t-a-n and it is given to them to torture (but not kill) mankind for five months.
Despite their rebellion, fallen Angels were originally created as Angels and possess angelic characteristics. They are believed to retain some aspects of their angelic nature, such as their power, intelligence, and supernatural abilities.

We see through out the Scriptures that Angels can take human form such as when Lot is removed from Sodom and Gomorrah (Genesis 18:17-19:29) and Hebrews 13:2 and certainly must have been able to take human form in order to procreate with humans and pass Angelic DNA.

Hebrews 13:2 Do not forget to receive strangers, for by so doing some have unwittingly entertained angels.

So, are fallen Angels around us now in the spiritual world? I think not, 2 Peter 2:4 and Jude 1:6, record that they are in chains. But at the end of time, they will be amongst us. Everyone familiar with the Bible knows the terms Angels and demons, but there’s no verse in the Bible that explains where demons came from. So, we consider these below, as well as the terms "Nephilim," "Rephaim," and "Anakim" which have biblical significance:

Nephilim:

In the Scriptures, the term "Nephilim" appears in Genesis 6:4 and is often interpreted as referring to the offspring of the union between the "sons of God" and the "daughters of men" before the Great Flood.  These Nephilim are described in most translations as “heros of old” or “men of renown”. This was because the Hebrew word gibbôr has been incorrectly translated as “hero”. A hero can only be good, but a “mighty man” can be good or evil. Also, the Hebrew word translated as “renown” is shêm, but this is more commonly translated as “name.” So, Nephilim may have been exalted rulers, and could be good or evil. We know that evil was permeating society at the time of the Nephilim, but the Scriptures do not clearly say that it was Nephilim, or just humans in general.
The Nephilim undoubtedly had more intelligence, strength and ability than people with just human DNA, so they would be described as mighty men. This is due to the mixing of human DNA with extra-dimensional genetics from the fallen angels.

Nephilim had human DNA contaminated with angel DNA, and this must have been an abomination to the Father. The question has to come up, why?

My theory is that s-a-t-a-n knew that tainting all human DNA would mean that the Fathers Salvation plan would not succeed, as it had to be a pure DNA human person that would break his rule over Earth! (Genesis 3:15). S-a-t-a-n launched an evil plan to taint the DNA of all women so that there would eventually be no pure human births on Earth, that way, he could not be defeated.

The choices the Father had were set out in the Scriptures, and was to either destroy every living thing, or create a salvation plan and preserve pure human DNA in a remnant. Fortunately, the father chose to create a Salvation plan, saved a remnant, and destroyed everything else with a great flood in about 2,350BC.

The Scriptures record that all land based creatures died which includes all mankind with the exception of Noah and his family. The Nephilim and their descendants, and anything else with corrupted DNA (Genesis 7:1) died, there was no DNA carried through to the renewed world except for what was carried by Noah and his family, and the animals on board the Ark. This ensured that mixed angel/human DNA would not continue to corrupt the bloodline to the Messiah, that would have meant the human race could not be redeemed. Thus, the Nephilim did not survive the flood catastrophe, the only survivors were Noah’s family in the Ark.

Have a think about the great flood, how reminiscent is that to being baptised and born again?

It is unclear whether Nephilim could be produced after the great flood, as the Scriptures do not provide explicit details if Angels could interbreed with humans after the flood. I think that it is unlikely, as the reason for the flood was to wipe out the Nephilim DNA. The crucial aspect is that s-a-t-a-n's attempt to prevent the arrival of the Messiah on Earth was unsuccessful, despite his efforts to corrupt human DNA.

The Father set the Hebrew people apart to maintain a pure human bloodline for the eventual arrival of the Messiah, who could genetically represent all of Adam and Eve’s descendants as a true Son of Man. If Nephilim were to reappear after the great flood, I think that it is likely that the Father would similarly eliminate them due to the threat they pose to the human DNA sequence and His salvation plan.

After the Nephilim's physical bodies died, their spirits, being part Angel (eternal beings) and part human (short-lived beings), continued to exist. These spirits became what we know as demons. Due to the cataclysmic impact of the great flood, there is no archaeological evidence of the existence of Nephilim.
Rephaim and Anakim

Rephaim and Anakim are the names given to two types of people that lived in the lush green valleys of the land of Canaan. One document is known as 'Papyrus Anastasi 1,' and is dated to the Egyptian Ramesside Period mentions people that are taller than usual.

The size does not necessarily mean that the Rephaim or Anakim are Nephilim, as the Scriptures do not state that they were the children of fallen angels, but then the Scriptures also do not state that they were not. Given the Scriptures do not say that the Rephaim are the children of fallen angels, then I think that it is very unlikely that they were a separate race to the Nephilim. As all of the Nephilim were destroyed in the great flood, fallen angels would need to have again interbred with humans after the time of Noah to produce Nephilim, the Scriptures do not say that this happened after the great flood.

Genetics is the main contributor to height, but nutrition can play a small role.  Some research indicates that certain foods can boost height, especially when comparing a well fed individual that has grown up in lush green lands, to an individual that has been malnourished and dealing with growth stunting as a child. Some key nutrients that benefit height include protein, zinc, and vitamin D.

Goliath was tall at six cubits and a span (1 Samual 17:4), which equates to somewhere between six and a half feet tall (2 metres) and about nine feet nine inches (close to 3 metres). The average height of Hebrew men at the time was about 5 feet 5 inches (1.65 metres) so Goliath would have been a very imposing sight to the average Israelite. It is also possible that people living in agricultural settlements had better protein rich food which includes meat and dairy and could grow significantly taller than those with limited and low protein diets. Even today, there are people who grow to extreme sizes of in excess of 8 feet (2.4 metres), whether through genetic disorders like gigantism, thyroid issues or through normal heredity.

Many cultures record unusually large people, some with six fingers to each hand, and six toes to each foot. Goliath’s son is mentioned in the Scriptures as being huge and having six fingers on each hand and six toes on each foot (2 Samuel 12:20). This is called polydactyly and is associated with different mutations, either mutations in a gene itself or in a cis-regulatory element responsible for the expression of a specific gene. People with six fingers and/or six toes were highly revered in some cultures.

Further discussion individually on Rephaim and Anakim follows:

Rephaim/Rephaites:

The Rephaim are known from not only the Old Testament, but also Ugaritic  and Phoenician  sources. They are described as a people distinguished by their enormous stature and termed as giants (Genesis. 14:5; 15:20; Deuteronomy 2:11).

Israel initially refused to enter Canaan after the Exodus because the spies sent by Moses reported giants in the land, and the Hebrews were afraid. Although described in the Scriptures by the spies as Nephilim, (all of the Nephilim perished in 2,350BC with the great flood, Genesis 7:1), It is probable that the spies used the word Nephilim to strike fear into the Hebrews. That certainly succeeded and the Hebrews wandered in the desert for 40 years due to their disobedience, until all of that generation had died with the exception of Mosses, Aaron, and Joshua.

The Rephaim were one of the indigenous peoples living in the region and the Father did not want the Hebrews to mix with them as they followed false and pagan worship.  After wandering in the desert for 40 years, the Hebrews under the command of Joshua crossed the Jordan river in about 1407BC, and wiped the Rephaim out of Canaan. David killed the remainder in about 1000BC.

The Rephaim are often linked with the Anakim, another group of giants mentioned in the Scriptures. The Anakim were believed to be descendants of Anak, a renowned figure who is also associated with the Rephaim.

Anakim/Anakites:

From the period of reconnaissance by Israelite scouts in Hebron prior to the Hebrews refusing to enter the promised land, to its subsequent conquest by Caleb, the promised land was inhabited by Ahiman, Sheshai, and Talmai, all of whom were descendants known as the "Anak" (Numbers 13:22; or "offspring of Anak," Joshua 15:14). The Anakim were referred to as *Nephilim (Num. 13:33), likely denoting giants to strike fear into the Hebrews, and could not have been Nephilim. The use of the term could be, akin to how we use the term "titans" today, with a connection to the notion mentioned in Genesis 6:4.

In Deuteronomy 2:21 (cf. 1:28), the remarkable size of the Anakim is highlighted. They were recognised as the 'sons of Anak,' potentially indicating a familial or clan-based group rather than a widespread population, possibly an inherited genetic condition. This giant people (Deuteronomy 2:10, 21; 9:2) occupied the southern lands of Israel near Hebron before the Israelites crossed the Jordan River into the promised land (Joshua 15:13). Anak, Arba's son (Joshua 15:13; 21:11), was esteemed as the “most eminent man among the Anakim” at that time (Joshua 14:15).
According to Joshua 11:21-22, Joshua eradicated the Anakim in the hill country, Hebron, Debir, Anab, and all the hill country of Judah, thoroughly eliminating both the people and their cities around 1407 BC.

The name “Anakim” likely translates to "long-necked," implying tall stature. Although the Hebrews believed the Anakim were descendants of the Nephilim, this is not possible, as the Nephilim and any genetic mutations they possessed (and anything else possessed) were obliterated in the great flood. Similar to the Rephaim, there is no scriptural record indicating that the Anakim were offspring of fallen angels. Deuteronomy 2:20–21 suggests that the Rephaim, like the Anakim, were robust and tall, hinting at the possibility that they belonged to the same race but were distinct tribes.

Demon

There is no verse in the Scriptures that explain where demons came from, but they are mentioned in Scripture many times and are seen as being cast out in some of the Messiah’s miracles. They cannot be fallen angels as fallen angels are in chains (see previous sections).

Demons constitute a distinct group of malevolent spiritual beings associated with s-a-t-a-n. Ancient Hebrew texts like the Dead Sea Scrolls describe them as the spirits of the offspring resulting from the union between fallen angels and humans (Nephilim). Given that these offspring were born of immortal beings and mortals, their spirits are eternal, even though their physical bodies were not. When the physical bodies of demons perished during the great flood, their spirits couldn't ascend to heaven and instead endure in the earthly spiritual realm, seeking somewhere to live. They are present around us, seeking a dwelling place.

Demons are bound to the earth, having been created in violation of divine order, and likely don't have the chance for salvation or condemnation until the time of judgment. They are responsible for various paranormal occurrences, such as hauntings and spirit world communications. They are unable to take human form, however they can take possession of human bodies, a phenomenon documented in the New Testament as possession.

Demons appear to be uneasy without a body; as the Messiah indicated in Matthew 12:43 (also Luke 11:24), they wander in dry places and cannot rest when not inhabiting a body.

Matthew 12:43 “Now when the unclean spirit goes out of a man, he goes through dry places, seeking rest, and finds none.  44 “Then it says, ‘I shall return to my house from which I came.’ And when it comes, it finds it empty, swept, and decorated.  45 “Then it goes and takes with it seven other spirits more wicked than itself, and they enter and dwell there. And the last of that man is worse than the first. So shall it also be with this wicked generation.”

Consider, for example, the account of a man possessed by a legion of demons in Matthew 8:30-31. When the Messiah was about to cast them out, the demons implored the Messiah to send them into a herd of pigs, illustrating that demons can also possess animals. I think from my experience it is also possible for demons to inhabit specific locations, especially in the aftermath of a traumatic event that grants them entry.

There are different types of demons, although the hierarchical structure or specific categorisations remain unknown to us. What is evident, however, is that these entities are profoundly malevolent and pose a significant threat, always driven towards causing destruction. They can cause harm to you as recorded in Acts 19:16 where the man possessed by a demon jumped on people trying to cast it out and beat them up. Demonic possession is dangerous, possessed individuals have extraordinary strength and capabilities that surpass normal human limits.
In Matthew 17:21, during a conversation with the disciples regarding their inability to expel a demon, the Messiah alluded to the existence of different types of demons. This indicates the varied and distinct nature of these malevolent spirits.

Matthew 17:21 “But this kind does not go out except through prayer and fasting.”

We also know that demons have considerable power on their own however, as apart from possession, Revelation 16:14 records that they gather the armies of the earth to battle the Father.

Revelation 16:14 for they are spirits of demons, doing signs, which go out to the sovereigns of the entire world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of Yahuah the Almighty.

While demon possession is very rare, most demons who possess people can’t resist the opportunity to destroy their human hosts on an individual level, such as drug/alcohol addiction, other high-risk behaviors, self-harm, and attempts to drive the person to suicide, or to destroy other non-possessed people in an atrocious and violent manner. Some of the worst atrocities committed by mankind against mankind may be due to demon possession.

Inheritance

The concept of inheritance entails the transmission of various characteristics from one generation to the next. While inheritance often brings to mind material possessions and wealth, it encompasses a broader range of attributes. Examining the distinct types of inheritance can provide insight into the complex dynamics within families and the intergenerational effects on individuals' lives.

There are three main types of inheritance: Material, Behavioural, and Genetic (also referred to as bloodline), as detailed below:

Material inheritance

1)    Asset related inheritance

Material inheritance refers to the physical possessions and assets passed down from one generation to the next. It includes properties, vehicles, jewellery, heirlooms, and other tangible belongings. Material inheritance carries both sentimental and monetary value, symbolising the continuity of a family's history and providing a means of preserving assets and memories to future generations.

2)    Wealth Inheritance
Wealth inheritance goes beyond tangible assets and encompasses financial resources, investments, and business enterprises. It includes the transfer of monetary wealth, stocks, bonds, real estate holdings, and other forms of financial value. Wealth inheritance can significantly impact the financial security and opportunities available to future generations.

Behavioural inheritance

Behavioural inheritance refers to the transmission of behavioural traits, patterns, and tendencies from one generation to another through environmental, and social factors. Environmental factors, including upbringing, education, instilled values from parents, family dynamics, social interactions, cultural influences, and life experiences, play a significant role in shaping an individual's behaviour.

Children often model their behaviours based on observations and interactions with parents, siblings, and other influential figures in their lives. This learned behaviour shapes their responses to various situations and interactions that impacts an individual's choices, attitudes, and actions throughout their life.

Generational behaviour evolves under the persistent influence of s-a-t-a-n-i-c and demonic temptations. With limited internal constraints, as many people do not comprehend the Father's Way, humanity succumbs to the forces that were unleashed as a consequence of Adam's failure, passing down this behaviour to their children and subsequent generations.

Genetic Inheritance

There are two types of genetic inheritance, biological inheritance through DNA, and spiritual inheritance where demonic forces can attach themselves and be inherited by descendants:

1)    Biological inheritance
Genetic factors are passed from parents to child on conception. These factors play a significant role in immunity, physical attributes such as height, eye colour, hair type, and predisposition to certain body shapes, the likelihood of developing certain health conditions are strongly influenced by genetic factors. For instance, inherited health issues can range from genetic disorders that increase susceptibility to diseases such as cancer, diabetes, strokes or cardiovascular conditions or handicaps and disabilities.

2)    Spiritual Inheritance (bloodlines)
Spiritual inheritance goes beyond the passing down of religious beliefs, moral values, philosophical teachings, and spiritual practices. It encompasses the idea that individuals may inherit not only the positive aspects of spiritual beliefs but also vulnerabilities to negative influences, such as s-a-t-a-n-i-c or demonic forces. This perspective suggests that these susceptibilities or spiritual inclinations can be passed down through familial bloodlines by children learning from, and imitating their parents values, often referred to as "spiritual bloodlines."

Leviticus 26:40 And they shall confess their sins, and the sins of their fathers, that they have transgressed and neglected me, and that they have walked perversely before me,

Deuteronomy 28:58 “If you do not guard to do all the Words of this Torah that are written in this book, to fear this esteemed and awesome Name, Yahuah your Elohim, 59 then Yahuah shall bring upon you and your descendants extraordinary plagues, great and lasting plagues, and grievous and lasting sicknesses.

The potential for susceptibility to s-a-t-a-n-i-c or demonic influence and contact may be transferred from one generation to the next within a family. It implies that individuals within a bloodline might carry an inherent predisposition to certain spiritual influences.

This spiritual inheritance follows the bloodline, from parents to children, and is often referred to as "spiritual bloodlines." It is important to recognise that s-a-t-a-n-i-c or demonic influences that are allowed to enter someone’s life may also be inherited by descendants within families unless the bloodline dependence is broken by prayer.

This is very apparent in two places within the Scriptures

  1. We have all inherited sin from Adam (Romans 5:12).

  2. As the Priests were descendants of Aaron and were required to lead a set-apart life in purity. In this way, there was no spiritual inheritance of s-a-t-a-n-i-c or demonic influence that would be inherited by their descendants who would also act as Priests.

It is worth noting that demons do not necessarily afflict every descendant or manifest themselves in every generation of a bloodline they are inhabiting. I think they target individuals who are most prone to succumbing to temptation or who can do the most harm to themselves or others.

This type of inheritance was referred to in the parable of the beggar at the Pool of Siloam, set out in John 9:2 when the disciples questioned the Messiah why the beggar was blind

John 9:2 And His taught ones asked Him, saying, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he should be born blind?” 3 Yahusha answered, “Neither this man nor his parents sinned, but that the works of Elohim might be made manifest in him.

Manifestations

Manifestations of s-a-t-a-n-i-c, or demonic influence and manipulation do not vary with cultural, religious, or individual beliefs. Demons have no respect for any of that, they will influence or take possession of whatever they can. Here are some general concepts commonly associated with demonic influence:

  1. Temptation and Deception: Demonic influence entices individuals towards engaging in immoral, harmful, or destructive behaviours, such as involvement in crime, drug abuse, witchcraft, or pornography. These behaviours are often embedded within individuals through education, and societal pressures.

  2. Oppression: Demonic influence can cause distress, fear, terror, anxiety, turmoil, or a sense of despair to enforce behaviour patterns. It may also manifest as haunting experiences or phenomena classified as paraphysical and that can lead to self-harm, and be the cause of psychological problems.

  3. Interference with daily life: Demonic influence can disrupt relationships, leading to financial difficulties, conflict, or hinder personal and professional growth. This can include things moving unexplainedly, as well as visitations and negative experiences to children (children are more likely to be aware of spiritual beings as they have not been educated not to see the spiritual world).

  4. Influence on thoughts and beliefs: Demons can implant negative or harmful ideas, promote thoughts of evil intent, suicide, foster doubt or disbelief, lust, or distort one's perception of reality. This practice is observed in various religious denominations as well as many denominations who will coerce people to believe and act in a certain manner that suits their doctrine.

  5. Presence: Some people can discern the presence of a demon. This can be visual, but it also can be non-visual such as sensed. Usually, the person who has discernment will feel absolute terror like they have never known before, absolute fear, anxiety, and utter hopelessness. When anyone feels a presence, that is the time to pray to the Father in the Messiahs Name to cleanse their lives and all that is around them.

  6. Possession: In thankfully rare and extreme cases, demonic influence can result in demonic possession. Possession occurs when a demon takes temporary or full control of an individual's body, mind, or actions.

There are 3 main doors to demonic experiences

Just as cybercriminals endeavour to control and access personal data and bank accounts online, demons try to entice and influence individuals to gain control and access individual’s consciousness. Computer systems have firewalls that prevent hackers from gaining access to systems unless a user grants access. Similarly, demons cannot influence or control an individual unless that individual allows it. Demons cannot just enter people any time they want, they need an opening to do so.

Demons act similarly to flies in that they’ll gain access to a person when a “door” has been opened. That is why we must heed the Word of the Father and not give any leeway through sin or even small compromises. As a general guide, don’t seek to know anything more about the demonic than what is taught in the Scriptures. Scriptural accounts of deliverance do not involve discovering information about demons’ origins, hierarchies, attachments, territorial jurisdiction, or specific functions. The Messiah asked for a name only once (Mark 5:9) and then does not use the information the demons give.

Demons can use many tools, such as fear, insecurity, they can also terrorise, “haunt”, cajole, tempt, influence, entice and/or coerce individuals to open the spiritual “door” to an individual’s consciousness.

The three most common ways are set out below:

  1. The concept of spiritual inheritance has been discussed previously. Once a person's mind is receptive, spiritual inheritance can facilitate the transmission of demonic influence through the spiritual bloodlines to descendants. This can result from learned behaviours passed down from parents to family members, but there may also be spiritual mechanisms at play that remain beyond our awareness.

  2. Spiritual involvement refers to individuals consciously and willingly engaging in sinful acts or participating in pagan or occult practices. Examples of such activities, while not limited to these, encompass issues such as sexual immorality (which establishes a spiritual connection and soul bond, particularly risky with multiple partners as it may initiate numerous demon contacts), false religion (including denominations with pagan rituals (which is most denominations) that do not pray in the true Messiah's Name), astrology, demon worship, involvement in s-a-t-a-n-i-c rituals (including the use of the ouija board), possession and interaction with demonic or possessed objects, engagement in the occult, witchcraft, reliance on horoscopes, fortune-telling, seances, hypnosis, participation in pagan worship or the worship of false deities, reading books associated with demonic themes, involvement in rituals and making oaths related to demonic entities, forming demonic contracts, communicating with the deceased, certain types of music, demonic films, and praying to false deities. Engaging in these practices deliberately can also potentially expose individuals to demonic invasion, which is why the Scriptures explicitly caution against such involvements.

  3. Spiritual invasion, also referred to as possession, involves a demon taking control of an individual. Unlike spiritual inheritance and involvement where an individual chooses to follow a demon's bidding, invasion occurs when the demon seizes temporary, sporadic, or permanent control. This can happen if an individual allows it, but circumstances not initiated by the individual may also open the door to possession. Factors contributing to this state include intense psychological trauma such as severe anger, severe emotional tantrums, fear, abuse, mental or physical breakdowns, rejection, separations, violence, involvement in atrocities, drugs, etc. Once the door is open, possession can become involuntary.

Opening yourself to spiritual influences may not just affect you. It may affect your children, and your children’s children.

On top of the s-a-t-a-n-i-c and demonic presence we already have in the spiritual world around us, an invasion of fallen angels is coming in the last days. Revelation 12:9 describes that s-a-t-a-n was cast down from heaven, but he took a third of the angels with him. Revelation 12:13 onwards describes the struggle for control of mankind that has been going on to this day

Revelation 12:9 And the great dragon was thrown out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who leads all the world astray. He was thrown to the earth, and his messengers were thrown out with him. "That great dragon was hurled down, that ancient serpent called the Devil or Satan……..13 And when the dragon saw that he had been thrown to the earth, he persecuted the woman who gave birth to the male child.  14 And the woman was given two wings of a great eagle, to fly into the wilderness to her place, where she is nourished for a time and times and half a time, from the presence of the serpent.  15 And out of his mouth the serpent spewed water like a river after the woman, to cause her to be swept away by the river.  16 And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened its mouth and swallowed up the river which the dragon had spewed out of his mouth.  17 And the dragon was enraged with the woman, and he went to fight with the remnant of her seed, those guarding the commands of Elohim and possessing the witness of Yahusha Messiah.

S-a-t-a-n is loose on the earth, but the fallen angels are not.

But the interesting part is in Revelation 9:1 and is the fifth of the trumpets set out in Revelation. Each of these trumpets represents an intervention by the Father.

Revelation 9:1 And the fifth messenger sounded, and I saw a star from the heaven which had fallen to the earth. And the key to the pit of the deep was given to him. 2 And he opened the pit of the deep, and smoke went up out of the pit like the smoke of a great furnace. And the sun was darkened, also the air, because of the smoke of the pit.  3 And out of the smoke locusts came upon the earth, and authority was given to them as the scorpions of the earth possess authority.  4 And it was said to them that they shall not harm the grass of the earth, or any green matter, or any tree, but only those men who do not have the seal of Elohim upon their foreheads.  5 And it was given to them that they should not kill them, but to torture them for five months. And their torture was like the torture of a scorpion when it stings a man.

There are several key allegorical statements in this chapter of Revelation:

a)    S-a-t-a-n received the key to the abyss where the fallen angels were imprisoned
b)    S-a-t-a-n opened the pit to let out an absolute horde of fallen angels (demons will still be around as well)
c)    The sun was darkened, indicating spiritual darkness on the Earth (remember the horde of locusts that darkened the land as one of the plagues brought on Egypt at the time of the Exodus)
d)    The fallen angels target people who do not have the seal of Yahuah, not vegetation or animals, indicating judgement on rebellious people
e)    The fallen angels have freedom for 5 months, which interestingly is about the period of time that Noah was protected in the Ark.

In Revelation 8:2, seven messengers were given seven trumpets. Each of these trumpets represents specific interventions on humanity.

So, when the fifth trumpet sounds, an invasion by fallen angles like never known before will come onto the earth, but those marked with the seal of Yahuah will be protected.

S-a-t-a-n, his fallen angels and demons will roam freely throughout this world and entice people toward sin, deceiving people and moving them to do utterly despicable things. His dark hatred for the human race is immeasurable, s-a-t-a-n-s desire is to see every last human being, all of us who are created in the image of God, suffering incalculable torment and destruction. His commitment to the misery and destruction of the human race is unshakable. It is greater than we can possibly imagine. This will be a time of great evil and spiritual oppression as it was in the times of Noah (Matthew 24:37). What we have seen to date for evil spiritual influence and oppression particularly those that are true believers will be nothing compared to what will happen when the fifth trumpet blows. Although the fallen angels are not permitted to hurt people who have the seal of Yahuah on their foreheads, that is still not the case for s-a-t-a-n or demons.

Spiritual bloodlines

Many individuals who reject the concept of spiritual bloodlines do so because there is no scientific or physical evidence supporting its existence. The idea faces inherent challenges as death creates an insurmountable barrier with no possibility of return, rendering it impossible to provide tangible evidence or conduct scientific experiments that indicate anything within the spiritual realm. Additionally, the variety of different experiences claimed by those recounting near-death experiences adds further complexity.

However, the absence of physical evidence or scientific evidence does not conclusively disprove the existence of spiritual bloodlines. Historical examples demonstrate that lack of evidence does not negate the validity of a concept. For instance, people once believed the Earth was flat due to the absence of tools to prove otherwise, or that doctors didn't need to wash their hands during surgery because germs were invisible. Many such erroneous beliefs were held by intelligent and progressive individuals of their time.

The term "spiritual bloodline" refers to the transmission of spiritual beliefs, practices, or experiences within a family or genetic lineage. This transmission occurs through shared experiences, education, upbringing, cultural influences, and ingrained family values. In some cultures, it may be identified as generational curses or ancestral sin, while Scriptures term it original sin, attributing the continuation of behaviours from parents to children. However, in my case (and it is detailed in examples further down in this article), there is evidence that spiritual bloodlines also include spiritual elements, the operation of which we cannot define, it is just there and it does operate. For that reason, it is crucial to differentiate spiritual bloodlines from inherited sin and generational curses.

An example often cited to illustrate inherited sin is the narrative of Adam and Eve, resulting in the belief that all individuals born since then inherit a state of sinfulness, as mentioned in Romans 5:14.

Romans 5:14 But death reigned from Adam until Moses, even over those who had not sinned according to the likeness of the transgression of Adam, who is a type of Him who was to come.

Individuals who belong to a genetic bloodline (meaning they are descendants of a particular lineage or DNA sequence), may have a greater inclination or affinity for demonic influence on their lives due to their familial education, culture, heritage, observations, awareness and upbringing.

Effects of demonic influence may include continued strife, tendency for violence, severe anger, poverty, sickness, disease, confusion, failure, and even death. Even if the s-a-t-a-n-i-c or demonic connection is not made, the behaviour of ancestors under s-a-t-a-n-i-c or demonic influence can still result in inherited behaviour disorders.
Dr. Caroline Leaf shared this important insight. “The sins of parents create a predisposition, not a destiny. You are not responsible for something you are predisposed to because of ancestral decisions. You are responsible, however, to be aware of the predispositions, evaluate them, and choose to eliminate them.”

Parents who wish their children well and want to see them enjoy life should deal with the consequences of their past sins properly. They must not allow the devil to transfer these consequences to their children.

You might be thinking at this point, my salvation frees me from all of this automatically? But freedom from the impact of spiritual inheritance is not automatic, it requires a change of attitude and lifestyle to release those things in your life that are not of the Father. That may not be easy, and it may cause conflict within families. But if you wish to walk with the Father, it is something that every individual needs to do.

A number of personal xperiences has shown me that there is more to this that we cannot understand at this time, I will share these later when I have consent from the other parties present.

How interested should believers be in the spiritual world?

The simple answer to this question is “very interested.”

It is hard to deny or ignore the existence of the spiritual world. Many teachers have attempted to erase or ignore any elements of supernaturalism from their teaching. This can obscure the teaching of the Scriptures making it difficult for people to accept or understand the Salvation Plan, and the significance of the Feasts set out in the Old Testament. It is also hard to deny that if there is the presence of great evil, that there must also be the presence of great good.

The Scriptures provides an understanding of the world that transcends modern prejudices, requiring believers to take seriously what the Bible takes seriously.

The Scriptures talk a lot about the spiritual world, but many people, including Christians, bury their heads in the sand as it has not been part of the teaching they have received. This is despite many people witnessing phenomena that has no rational explanation.
